Motorized Patio Screens in Dallas, TX

A covered patio is the opening these screens were designed for, and it is most of what we fit. The housing mounts across the head of the opening, the tracks run down the posts, and the mesh comes down under tension so it holds its shape instead of billowing. Which mesh you want depends on which way the patio faces: a west-facing slab is fighting heat and glare through the afternoon, while a shaded north side is usually about mosquitoes.

What Actually Changes

A covered patio in North Texas is usable in the morning and unusable from about two o'clock, and no amount of ceiling fan fixes that. The heat arriving is radiant load coming in sideways under the roof, which a fan simply moves around. A solar screen stops it at the edge of the slab instead.

The second thing that changes is dusk. The hour it finally cools down is the hour the mosquitoes arrive, and insect mesh gives that hour back.

How It Is Built

The housing mounts across the head of the opening and the side tracks run down the posts. Mesh comes down under tension, which is what stops it billowing in a gust and what separates a motorized screen from a roll-down blind. Retracted, the whole system sits in a housing that can be recessed or surface mounted and colour matched.

Which mesh depends on orientation more than preference, so that decision happens on site. Control is remote, wall switch or phone, and the motor is specified to suit. Openings past about twenty feet raise the single-span question.

Where We Fit Them

Everywhere, but most often on the exposed western patios of Frisco and Plano, the long spans of Preston Hollow, and the shallower covers of Richardson, Lakewood and Dallas proper.

How long does it take? One visit once the screens are built. The lead time is the build, and we confirm it before you commit.
