Somewhere with mature trees already doing the shading can often take a more open solar weave and keep the view.
Clear vinyl is the third option, turning a patio into a windbreak for the cold months, and plenty of houses end up with different mesh on different sides of the same structure. We bring samples and compare them in your actual light, because a swatch indoors tells you very little. The choice does not change the install, and it can be revisited later as a fabric replacement without touching the motor.
